Rules: A five minute warm-up is allowed prior to league games. League games will be four 10 minute (running clock) quarters. Clock will stop during the last minute of the game. One 30 sec time out is allowed per half as well as one floating full timeout. A timed minute break between quarters and three minute break at the half will be utilized. First overtime is two minutes. Second overtime is sudden death (first basket wins). Player and fan/parents conduct will be strictly enforced. Fighting results in an immediate dismissal from the X-League without refund. Pocket City Basketball will not be responsible for forfeits. 4 on 4 play is allowed.
Pocket City Basketball Presents The Fall X League!
Incoming 8th grade through incoming Senior participants are guaranteed a minimum of eight games and each Sunday will play two games. The final Sunday will conclude with a single-elimination tournament.
All games will be played on Sundays (October 5, 2014 - November 2, 2014) which allows for fall sport participants to attend. No game will begin before 12 noon, and no game will end any later than 7 p.m. CT.
Interactive social experience via the website. Players can register for different programs, view game times, message teammates, view statistics, view standings and other important league news from any internet capable device. The Facebook and Twitter integration is unique.
Costs: $100 Early Bird Special thru Sept. 1. $110 regular fee (Other family discounts are available). A waiting list will be utilized once all spots are filled. Online registrants are processed with priority over mail-in packets. Registration closes September 26.
Pocket City Basketball will bring in guest speakers to assist families with recruiting/eligibility questions in an open forum setting.
Participants will receive a jersey to be worn for all league contests.
League will observe all IHSAA guidelines. No more than three players from the same high school will be placed on the same league team. Typically, no more than nine players will be on each team. All teams are balanced out for competitive play by the Pocket City Basketball staff and other regional basketball scouts.
Spectators will be charged a $5 admission fee each week. Pass outs will be available. college coaches, referees and media members will receive free admission upon signing in
Numerous NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA and Junior Colleges will be in attendance throughout. NCAA rules prevent Division I head coaches from attending during this period.
